Public meeting with Mayor Levy to discuss the city’s action plan for removing the names Forrest, Lee and Hood from all street signs in Hollywood.
These names are shameful tributes to men who supported slavery during the Civil War and were known white supremacists.
For over a decade Hollywood’s African American citizens have pleaded with the city elected officials to take action. There is no reason for those names to be on our streets today.
